Dawn Walker

Test Dawn Walker is a coop developer and design researcher whose practice focuses on the infrastructures that contribute to lasting alternatives and social change. She is interested in just transitions, computer networks, radio waves, community + worker ownership, and urban agriculture. She has previously worked on projects around environmental data justice, food security, Indigenous solidarity, academic labour, and community networks. Dawn is currently based in New Westminster, so-called BC on the unceded land of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (Halkomelem)-speaking people. She grew up primarily in Calgary in Treaty 7 territory and the territory of the Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Îyâxe Nakoda (which include the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney First Nations), Tsuut’ina, and the Métis Nation homeland (Region 3).
